TODAY in technology prison
Today, I wonder what his or
her story is. It was during my bus ride home and on the people who were in the
bus. For starters everyone's story today seemed pretty boring. They were all
absorbed in technology. That's me inclusive. Phone or laptop. A couple of them
with headphones. Even those standing were using their phones. One took a quick
nap in between using his phone. No one in my view was looking out the window
(although dark, it would have still been nice to look out and enjoy the scenes
that we drive past sometimes). No one was looking around at each other, except
me (only occasionally) and one guy who was on headphones (can’t tell for sure,
for all I know, he could just be staring at blank space). No one chatted with
each other. One was talking on the phone, fortunately not too loud as it would annoy
many of the commuters. Towards the end of my ride, I noticed that there were
two who were not on phone but looking at the front of the bus, perhaps waiting
for their stop to get off soon.
What
annoys me is hubby and I do the same thing too. Most times. Hubby is
worse than me. At least I look out 30% of the time and let my thoughts flow.
