TODAY on smiles and random hello waves

Today some young folks dressed in Santa and other Chrstmasy outfit were standing near school bus stop, and waving at every car which drove by. I was sitting at the back of the bus and no one sitting in front of the bus waved back.

I normally don't do the wave-to-strangers on or from moving vehicle thing (e.g. people waving from a cruise or boat or tour bus or ferris wheel) but for some reason I decided to do it.

I waved to the group of young people who were happily waving and trying to spread the happy friendly xmas spirit. I was the only one who did so from the bus. Then immediately I saw a big smile from one of the lady and she seemed to turn over to her friends and presumably told them about a positive reaction from a stranger in the bus. The expression on her face was priceless. I smiled from my heart at that very instant (and from my face too of course! Can't be sulking while waving!) It was a great feeling. Simple yet powerful.
